Welcome to Laska Bohemian Wares! We are a family business with two small shops nestled in a historic area of Charlotte Amalie, the busy port town in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. We opened our first shop specializing exclusively in handblown art glass in December 2002 and are happy to announce the opening of our latest addition, Laska Jewelry and Beads.
All of our glassware is handmade by individual masters of glasswork in our home country of Czech Republic, world reknowned for its production of high-quality glasswares. The larger pieces featured on our website are blown by hand using a special furnace and the smaller figurines and glass beads are products of lampwork, glasswork done by hand over an open flame.
Since all of our glassware is made by hand, no two pieces are ever identical and small differences in color are commonplace.
